Under the Same Sky
The year is 1746. A young woman from South Carolina and a Scottish Highlander share an intimacy and devotion beyond their understanding. They've known each other their entire lives. And yet they have never met.
Maggie Johnson has been gifted with "the Sight" ever since she was a child. Her dreams bring her visions of the future, and of a presence she knows is real. She calls him Wolf, and has seen him grow alongside her from a careless young boy into a fearsome warrior. And when her life is torn asunder by unspeakable tragedy, he is her only hope.
Andrew MacDonnell is entranced by the vision of a beautiful woman who has always dwelt in his dreams. When war ravages his land and all he has ever known, he leaves the Scottish Highlands on a perilous journey to the New World to find her, knowing that their only chance of survival is with one another.
Their quest to find each other across a treacherous wilderness will test the limits of courage and endurance, guided only by their dreams--and by the belief in the true love they share.

Sound of the Heart (released May 1, 2012)
From Genevieve Graham, author of Under the Same Sky, comes a sweeping romantic historical novel of one man’s strange gift and dangerous battles… Dougal MacDonnell, a fierce warrior from the Highlands of Scotland, is able to hear the thoughts of other men and dream how the future will unfold. Devastated by the loss of his family during the Battle of Culloden in 1746, he fosters a deep hatred for the English. But when Glenna, the love of his life and a Scottish outlaw, is captured and shipped overseas, Dougal is forced to join an English army made of vanquished Scots. Now fighting on the side of his sworn enemies, he embarks on a journey that will take him across the seas to the colonies. There he will risk everything for the chance to find his true love.
Author bio
Genevieve Graham graduated from the University of Toronto in 1986 with a Bachelor of Music in Performance (playing the oboe). While on a ski vacation in Alberta, she met her future husband in a chairlift lineup and subsequently moved to Calgary to be with him. They have recently settled in a small, peaceful town in Nova Scotia with their two beautiful daughters. Writing became an essential part of Genevieve’s life a few years ago, when she began to write her debut novel, Under the Same Sky. The companion novel, Sound of the Heart, is also in stores. Penguin will publish the third book in the series in November 2013.

Canadian Debut Author beats Odds, breaks into World of U.S. Publishing.
One of only seven Canadians published by Penguin U.S., and the only Nova Scotian, debut author Genevieve Graham is impressing the leaders of one of the biggest publishing houses in the world.
Halifax, Nova Scotia - February 21, 2012 - It is extremely rare for Penguin U.S. to contract a Canadian author, especially during these unsettled economic times within the publishing world. Genevieve Graham has beaten the odds. In addition to publishing Ms Graham’s first book, Penguin U.S. has contracted her to write a second and is considering her third. Graham is one of only seven Canadians published by this publishing giant, and her sales are impressive.
The author, who never even dreamed of writing a book only five years ago, is extremely pleased with the book’s reception. “When they told me they’d ordered a second printing before it even hit bookstore shelves, I was shocked.”
No stranger to the arts, Genevieve holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Toronto. Shifting to a different art and becoming an author came as a surprise to Ms Graham. “When my daughters were little, I was too busy with them to even think about writing—or reading, to be honest. When I turned forty, I picked up a wonderful book, lost myself in the adventures, then longed for more. So I decided to see if I could actually write my own.”
“Under the Same Sky”, the first book she has ever written, was published January 2012 and is available at bookstores around the world.
Born in Toronto, Ms Graham settled in Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia with her family four years ago. She divides her working hours between writing new bestsellers, running her editing business, and teaching piano to local children.
